And God said, 'Let there be rock & metal in SaintGits' and thus the EV 11 - The Saintgits Rock Band was born.

Rock Band EV 11 started with their first performance as a band for the college annual day celebrations in the year 2004. The founders of EV 11 was Christy, blessed with soothing voice and exceptional talent in music, Emmanuel a hardcore rock addict with a growling voice and shredding guitar, Alex with a wonderful bass voice and remarkable accent, Bejoy the bassist, Disney the talented drummer, Mathew ready to give everything for music, Francis the band manager. At first the band's style was simple soft rock and gospel and later the trend changed to hard rock.

The band bagged prizes in the fests 'Brahma 04', 'Samasya 06', 'Mist 07', 'Azzure 07' and the success story continues making a small mark in the rock scene in Kerala.

The name 'EV 11' stands for Escape Velocity and 11 stands for the value of Escape velocity in Km/sec.

The smashing rock show on the stage transforms the Saintgits students into a different crowd going frenzy, jumping, head banging, and cheering the performers all the way enjoying the power of rock.

The 'Key of Tama' which symbolizes the EV 11 , the Saintgits Rock Band passes from one generation to another to carry forward it's legacy, rocking Saintgits, conquering new heights and spreading the magic of music for years to come.
