Objectives

Technical Knowledge - Provide a basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles along with the required supporting knowledge of mathematics, science, computing and engineering fundamentals. The program includes depth in special areas such as Electrical Machines, Electrical Networks, Power System, Control, Electromagnetics and Power Electronics.

Laboratory and Design Skills - Develop the basic skills needed to perform and design experimental projects. Develop the ability to formulate problems and projects and to plan a process for solution, taking advantage of diverse technical knowledge and skills.

Communications Skills - Develop the ability to organize and present information and to write and speak effective English.

Preparation for Further Study - Provide sufficient breadth and depth for successful subsequent graduate study, post-graduate study, or lifelong learning programs.

Course & Department
We are one of the six departments within SAINTGITS College of Engineering. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is established in the year 2002. Our distinctive four-year undergraduate degree program leads to a B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering approved by A.I.C.T.E and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. The program combines rigorous training in engineering fundamentals and applications with elective courses in various emerging fields of Electrical Engineering. It attracts undergraduate students who want to study electrical engineering and also gain a broad base of knowledge in other engineering streams.. The department launched the M.Tech course in Power Systems in the year 2008 and has a yearly intake of 36 students in 2 batches. The Department is equipped with a fortifying and veteran group of teachers, technical staff with prodigious and vibrant potential. It is reputed for its excellence in imparting high quality education to Undergraduate and Post Graduate students. |
