M.Tech Application 2012

Eligibility

Eligibility will be subject to the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University / AICTE: 

1. The candidates should have studied in the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE / Deemed Universities.
2. Candidate with:
   • Valid GATE score preferred.
   • The candidates shall have Degree in respective branches of engineering awarded by the Universities of Kerala, or equivalent.
   • Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the engineering degree examination. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the above mentioned degrees is sufficient.
3. Non GATE candidates have to appear for a test/interview conducted by the concerned Department.
4. Candidates who have degrees awarded from Universities other than M G University shall submit Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission.
5. Candidates who have passed AMIE/ AMIETE examinations and satisfying the following conditions are eligible for admission:
• They must have valid GATE score.
• A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/ AMIETE examination.
• Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.

How to Apply
Application may be submitted in the prescribed form available at corporate  office on payment of Rs.500/- by cash. Application has to be accompanied by self attested copies of the required documents. The application form and the self attested copies of the required documents are to be forwarded to the corporate office either in person or by post. The Application form can also be downloaded from this website. Please attach DD for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) drawn in favour of  SAINTGITS college of Engineering, payable at Kottayam   along with the downloaded application form.
Admissions are strictly on merit

Procedure of Selection
a) Candidate must register their names online in the website of Director Technical Education, Trivandurm (DTE) from 15th May 2012.  DTE will prepare a rank list by considering the candidates GATE score/aggregate marks obtained upto 6th semester in the qualifying degree examination.  Candidates qualified in ranking by DTE can submit applications to Saintgits before the date notified in the college website.  Saintgits will publish a merit list based on the ranking by DTE, in which 50% of seats will be filled on merit observing the Reservation Rules as per G.O.(P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 02-05-1966, G.O.(M.S)95/08/SCSTDD dated 06-10-2008 and as modified from time to time by the Government.  Balance 50% of seats will be filled by the Management from merit list drawn up by SAINTGITS
